「世界一過酷な場所」と言われるエチオピアの「ダナキル砂漠」
海抜マイナス100mという大地溝帯上に位置するため、地底を流れるマントルに近いことから50度を超える超高温地帯
”人間が生きられる最高気温の場所”とも揶揄されます
旅行者にとって夏に訪れるのは自殺行為とまで言われているのですが、
うっかり8月に訪れてしまい、毎日干からびそうでした…
それにしても、
意外にも参加した現地ツアーには私を含め日本人が4人、
他に、バッタリ出くわした別ツアーでは4〜5人と出会いました
こんな辺境地に、世界は狭いなぁと思いましたよ😅

Danakil Desert (Danakil Depression) is located close to the border between Eritorea and Ethiopia, a geological depression that has resulted from the divergence of three tectonic plates in the Horn of Africa. It is also one of the lowest places on the planet at 100 metres (330 ft) below sea level and said as the most dangerous place to live or travel because the temparature is too high like 50 degrees Celsius over to live. Even though it's the isolated remote area in Africa, but surprisingly I met a lot of Japanese.
