言わずと知れた、失われたインカ帝国「マチュピチュ」
ペルーの情勢不安の中、長らく閉鎖されていたマチュピチュ
南米訪れた直前の2月15日にやっと再開が決まり、運よく訪れることができました！
再開直後というのと引き続き情勢不安ということも相まって観光客は激減
現在は1日2200人の入場制限が敷かれる中、
事前予約を確保するのが大変…と聞いていたのですが、このときは当日でも全然いけました
しかし、今は厳格にコースが分けられていて、決められたコースから外れてはいけないシステム
しかも料金も高い
なので、一番興味のあったワイナピチュへ登る「サーキット4」をチョイス
画像1枚目の奥の険しい山からマチュピチュを見下ろしてきました
しかし、早朝はものすごい霧と濃霧で下界はほとんど見えず
まさに天空都市そのものですね
とはいえ、標高2400mくらいなのでクスコに比べたら全然息が楽でした

This is Machu Picchu of UNESCO World Heritage of Peru on a 2,430-meter (7,970 ft) mountain ridge. Often referred to as the "Lost City of the Incas", otherwise it's like a city in the sky. The Ministry of Culture had closed Machu Picchu from the public indefinitely since January 22th 2023 due to Peruvian protests, but it's just re-opened on Feb 15th 2023 finally. But the visitors didn't come back yet as used to be right after the number of visitors decreased dramatically. So it was easy to get the ticket for Cirquit 4 for Machu Picchu + HuaynaPicchu at that time. I wanted to look down the city of Machu Picchu from the peak of Wayna Picchu.
Anyway I could breathe freely much better than in Cusco because of the elevation about 2400m under Cusco.
