こちらは、タジキスタンとアフガニスタンの国境地帯「ワハーン回廊」

目の前の川がいわゆるボーダー（国境）で
もっとも狭いところでは数百mと、泳ぎ渡れるほどの川幅

そんな川の向こうはあの紛争地帯のアフガンというのが到底信じられませんでした

とはいえ、景色も雄大で、
時折見かける川向うのアフガン側の集落の暮らしは一見平和で、なかなか複雑な心境でした

This is my own past pictures in Tajikistan in 2018.

The Wakhan Corridor is a narrow strip of territory in Afghanistan, actually situated along the Wakhan riversides in place of the border between Tajikistan. Parts of the
width of that river would be minimum 200-300 meters as long as we can swim through, and located in 3000-4000 meters above sea level in the mountains.

I saw sometimes local people living in village of Afgan-side along the riverside. I was ambivalent about the river border like a crossroads of their lives because Afgan's political situation has been highly unstable.

Anyway the scenary is so breathtaking!
