中国周時代の井田法を模範に、
江戸時代に造られた地割遺構
2つの上下区画をそれぞれ9等分し
うち各8区画は各8世帯へ分配、
残り各1区画は年貢用の共有田として全員で協力して耕やすシステム
中国由来のこの制度の遺構は、世界でもここにしか現存していないそう
井田跡で収穫されたお米「井田米」は
現在は後継者不足により限られた収穫量しかなく
基本的に地元だけで消費されているそうです
そんな貴重な井田米でポン菓子づくりとおむすび、鯛茶漬けをいただきました
出来立て、炊き立ては最高に美味でした

The Seiden Fields is kind of archaeological site that created at the end of the Edo period on the model of the Chinese Zhou Dynasty land-division system, which is one of the tax system like a square piece of land was divided into nine plots; eight paddies are allocated to separate families for the cultivation of rice for their own use and the last ninth of the center plot was managed jointly all the families for their tax. The only one left is here in the world, so this is designated as the Japan Heritage.
Seiden rice is named after harvested in these paddies. I had fun making Pongashi, which means one of Japan's traditional rice snacks, by using Seiden rice and making Onigiri(rice balls), Tai-chazuke(porgy sashimi on the rice with green tea). Tastes so fantastic.
