岐阜県関市にある根道神社の“名もなき池”、通称「モネの池」
もう8年ぶりにもなる再訪
あまりにも有名になり過ぎて、随分ご無沙汰でした
やっぱり“本家”のモネの池の方が
水がより澄んで、写真に収めると画になりますね
しかし、まぎれもなく根道神社の境内なのに、
来訪者のほとんどが階段上の本堂へ参拝しないまま帰るのを見るとちょっと切なくなりますね…
いつの間にかできていた茶庵の笹巻団子が美味しかった～

An unnamed small pond in Nemichi shrines, where is a local and isolated small shrine in Seki city, Gifu prefecture, Japan, is also well-known as 'Monet-pond', which means the pond resembles many of the works in Claude Monet’s “Water Lilies” series as an Impressionist paintings.
It has been getting very popular in Japan since 8-9 years because the water lilies floating in the cystal water would create a picturesque scene like Impressionist pantings as a Monet. Actually I have been here since 2015.
By the way, I'm wondering why most of tourists won't visit the mainhall of Nemichi shrine on the stone stairway. In addition, I highly recommend to take a bite of Sasa-maki dango, like kind of sticy mochi snacks, in front of the small Japanese kiosk. it's so good.
