5haの山の上に何万本もの赤いポピーが植えられています
長く楽しめるよう開花スケジュールをずらして計画的に種まきしているとか…
ところが、21年度はコロナの影響でフェスティバル開始直後で急遽、中止となりました
このときは6～7割の開花状況
ガードマンが配備され、園内立入禁止となり、外から眺めるだけでした
残念ながら、6月には刈り取られたそうです
育てた地域の方々は気の毒でした

This poppy garden is called 'The poppy in the sky' located in Minano-cho town, Chichibu city, Saitama pref, Kanto region, Japan, where would be about time to see in full bloom of poppy flowers, but unfortunately the festival was closed all of sudden just after opening because of the rapid spread of COVID-19 infection by the governmental judge. We could see them outside of the garden only.
