京都南禅寺にある琵琶湖疎水の「水路閣」
明治幕末時代の日本歴史遺産ですが、
京都のライフラインを担う現役の水路でもあります

階段上ると橋の上に築かれた水路で水が流れている様子が観察できます

お寺の境内にこんな近代的なアーチ型橋梁があるなんて、今回初めて知りました

紅葉もピークで、すごくきれいでしたが
とにかく観光客がすごかった～（特に外国人観光客）

An aqueduct bridge of the Lake Biwa Canal, named "Suioro-kaku", built in Nanzenji Temple precincts, located in the western Kyoto prefecture, made 200 years ago in Meiji era. This is designated as the Japan Heritage but it's still working now.

I visited in the peak of the fall foliage. There were so many foreign tourist as well as Japanese.
